Campaigns and activities

Uitfestival The Hague
The Uitfestival is the official opening of the new cultural season. In addition to announcing the listings for the coming season, the festival aims to attract new visitors, theatre-goers and patrons planning to go to cultural activities and events. Den Haag Marketing has commissioned Doen Evenementen to organize this year’s Haags Uitfestival.

Holland Art Cities/The Hague Art City
Holland Art Cities is a national event aimed at drawing more tourists to the Netherlands. The idea is to work with three successive themes over the course of the 2009-2010 cultural season, and the possibility to extend the project to 2011. Under the name ‘The Hague Art City’, The Hague’s cultural organizations join forces in order to deliver a unique programme for this event. The Hague Art City is also an overture to the city’s decision to put itself forward as a candidate contending to become European Capital of Culture 2018, since to be eligible for nomination, The Hague must show that it can offer a strong cultural programme, realized by all cultural organizations working together.

Jazz in The Hague
Many people love jazz, but outsiders often have difficulties finding their way around, because they do not know where the venues are or when concerts take place. That is why the jazz scene in The Hague has decided to join forces and to launch a collective marketing campaign organized by the Haags Uitburo. The aim is to encourage people to visit jazz concerts and sessions in the city. One of the ways to achieve this is the listing of all jazz venues in a publication called the ‘Jazzfolder’ and the launch of a website: www.denhaagjazz.nl.
