Olympic Network
The Regional Olympic Network The Hague has been set up to support the development of organized sports activities in the northern districts of the province of Zuid-Holland and to further the objectives of NOC*NSF. Den Haag Topsport and the Regio Steunpunt Talent en Topsport are closely linked to this network, in which the following organizations are associated: NOC*NSF, the municipality of The Hague (departments for Sports Policy and Sport Support), the Haagse Hogeschool (college of further education), the Mondriaan Onderwijsgroep (regional educational institute) and Sportservice Zuid Holland. These parties work together to improve the quality of top-level sports in the region, by contributing each other’s specific strengths and expertise.
The goal of the Olympic Network is two-fold:
- Cooperating with local (non-profit) partners and mutual synchronization of activities
- Matching the unions to the network and municipality (or municipalities) to promote partnerships
Within the Olympic Network, one organization is responsible for the service provision on behalf of top-level athletes and sports talents, in this case the ‘Regio Steunpunt Talent en Topsport’.
