Mercedes-Benz Dutch Fashion Awards go to The Hague

On the 6th of November 2009, the third edition of the Mercedes-Benz Dutch Fashion Awards will take place. After having held the first two editions in Amsterdam, Dutch Fashion Foundation (DFF) has chosen to host the oncoming edition in The Hague. The prenominations will be proposed to the delegation of the international jury this month for the final selection which will be announced in September.

Hotel Month in The Hague from the 1st to the 31st of October

 

The Hague - In The Hague hotels are joining forces to fight the recession and October will be The Hague Hotel Month. The city of The Hague, along with its hotels, is the first in the Netherlands to have its own Hotel Month. This unique collaboration is being presented by DiningCity, organiser of the successful National Restaurant Week.

MARTIN LUTHER KING CENTER COMES TO THE HAGUE

 

The Martin Luther King Center establishes an office in The Hague. This announcement was made today by Isaac Newton Farris Jr., director of the King Center and cousin of Martin Luther King, Jr.,  during the yearly Peace message which he gave on The Plein in The Hague during the International Day of Peace. This year the Day of Peace was celebrated extensively in The Hague, International city of Peace and Justice.

THE HAGUE - For the fourth time the Den Haag Marketing - Haags Uitburo will publish a free theatre guide for expats and visitors. With a selection of more than 200 plays and performances, the Theatre Guide gives a complete view of theatre, cabaret, concerts, dance, festivals and entertainment in The Hague and her surroundings (Rijswijk and Delft). This selection is accessible for an international audience, which means it is English or French spoken, or with little Dutch spoken.
