New thehaguefestivals.com alive and kicking

11 May 2010

The summer festival season is just around the corner. The countdown has now begun to the three greatest festival weeks of the year on the updated and festive website thehaguefestivals.com.

From 10 to 27 June the city will gives itself over completely to the fourth edition of The Hague Festivals. The website thehaguefestivals.com provides a complete overview of the more than 200 new and existing events as well as the latest news and line-ups. You can check the website for the names of the performers at The Hague Jazz, Festival Classique and Parkpop.

Visitors to the city can also find information on the website to help them plan their stay in The Hague, including practical tips about restaurants, hotel accommodation, art, culture and top attractions.

Other than in previous years, the focus of the website thehaguefestivals.com this year is more on interaction through social communities. The website has links to Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Flickr and Hyves. The Hague Festivals invites everyone to follow the accounts and leave a comment. The festival newsletter will automatically feature the latest news. Thehaguefestivals.com also has a version for a mobile phone: m.thehaguefestivals.com.

The Hague Festivals

The Hague Festivals offers cultural, musical and entertainment events for both young and old. Well known events during the festival period include The Hague Jazz, Festival Classique, The Hague Sculpture, PopHotSpot Summer Festival, Shopping Night, Dutch Veterans Day and Parkpop. Feel free to celebrate!

As the City of Peace in Justice, The Hague in 2010 is a year long War Child City with the goal of providing children of war a new future. Dozens of events during The Hague Festivals will contribute their support to War Child.
