The third Tuesday in September is approaching fast and The Hague prepares for a true national feast. In Holland’s only city on the sea the festivities won’t be limited to that one day with the royal couple in the Glass Carriage. There will be as many as four joyful days with plenty of activities for young and old. An ideal opportunity for a couple of pleasant days or a long weekend in The Hague.

From Wednesday, September 21, to Sunday, September 25, The Hague will revolve entirely around peace and justice. For five days, the city will focus on the International UN Day of Peace on September 21 with the annual Just Peace Festival. With over forty activities, the Just Peace Festival is the Netherlands' biggest peace festival.

Lonely Planet opens the first Dutch blogger house in The Hague
The Hague beach at Kijkduin was last weekend's venue for the opening of the first Dutch blogger house for Julie Falconer of Lonely Planet. Julie is the first person to stay in the special beach house for travel bloggers and vloggers. The Hague Blogger House is a shared initiative of HaagseStrandhuisjes and Den Haag Marketing. The Hague is the first city in the Netherlands to have a house available to bloggers and vloggers for the purpose of promoting the city.
